Welcome to the Mini 7 Blog Challenge!

The Min 7 Blog Challenge is the shorter version of the 30-Day Blog Challenge. In the Mini 7 you just need to write 7 blog posts in June!

In order to participate you need:

  • A blog (we recommend WordPress, but any type of blog will do)
  • A desire to build your traffic, content and confidence by writing at least 7 blog posts

Here are the guidelines for the Blog Challenge:

  1. You must post to your blog daily. You can post more often if you like, but you must have 7 posts in June to qualify. (Note that you can join after June 20 – just start from where you are.)
  2. Each blog post should be at least 150 written words. You can use audio or video, but they will not count as a blog post unless accompanied by the words.
  3. All blog posts must be made to the same blog.
  4. You must tweet each blog post to @JeanetteCates – with your post title, URL and the suffix #mini7 #blog30 so that others will know you have posted to your blog each day.
  5. You are strongly encouraged to look at other participants’ blogs – and add comments to their posts.
  6. Your blog must be “family friendly.”
  7. Your name must be on your blog so that we can easily identify it as yours.
  8. You must sign up to participate in the Mini 7 Blog Challenge. Once signed up you will be taken to the “member site” for Mini 7  participants where you can post your profile. This will facilitate communication among participants – and also provide you with an instructional course on making the most of the Blog Challenge.

Yes, Jeanette, I want to participate in the June, 2010 Mini 7  Challenge!

  • I understand that I will have the opportunity to join the free member site for the Challenge, plus receive announcements and educational emails about maximizing my experience.
  • I also understand you will use this list only for this Mini 7  Challenge.

More Blog Content Creation Tips

Coming up with valuable content week after week, day after day, can get old after a while and it can become quite challenging. Here are a few tips to help keep the wheels spinning and your blog growing.

#1  Get organized. Do you ever notice that great content ideas come to you when you’re driving to the grocery store, taking a shower or waiting in line at the bank?  Keep a notebook with you or a recording device and capitalize on these inspiring moments. Then, as soon as you get home or to a computer, draft a quick blog post on that idea so it doesn’t disappear. Read More→
