After you’ve run a business online for more than 17 years, you recognize that there is something new every week! One such item seems to be infographics. But infographics are not new – in fact, I purchased Edward Tufte’s landmark book on The Visual Display of Quantitative Information in 1983, when it was released!
What IS new is the ability for everyone to create infographics. Of course, some will argue that without training, people are releasing a lot of “junk” infographics. But to my way of thinking, anything that helps explain a concept is worth sharing. It was with that attitude that I created my first infographic – How To Deliver Your Online Course.
I look forward to your comments. Please feel free to share the infographic on social media as well as your website.

I can’t believe you created that in power point. Wait, this is Jeanette Cates site. Oh yes, she can do it!
You make it look so easy and professional, on top of including good information.
Thanks!
Thanks, Carol. Glad it’s helpful. It was actually not as difficult as I had made it out to be. I’ll post a tutorial on how to do it in the next day or two – for all my fellow PowerPoint lovers!
Jeanette, a tutorial on how used PPT to to make your infographic would be great! Thanks for all you do to help us improve.
Your wish is my command! Just posted the tutorial for you.
Great! I look forward to your tutorial on how to create an infographic using PowerPoint. My most recent book is about how to use PowerPoint and I love learning new things you can do with that underrated software.
Give us the title of your book, Darlene. I tend to buy everything I can on PowerPoint.
Haven’t seen reference to Tufte’s book in forever! Thought I was the only person to have it in my library!
Thanks.
There weren’t many of us outside of the academic realm who were able to get through it! But I do love that book. So glad to find a kindred spirit.
