Jeanette, I just listened to your podcast #002. I relate to everything you talked about. I am currently in a doctoral program at Creighton University in Omaha, NE. I’m not sure it is the program I should be in. I completed 11 hours, our home burned down and I took LOA from the program.
I also believe life points you in certain directions. I believe you are correct about the educational system, it is slow to change and I struggle with the politics of the university setting. I also make “chump change” for my level of education and experience. It’s frustrating. With my husbands loss of job and my small salary, I am interested in working with you to create a way to make money for our family.
Teaching is my passion and I’m good at it. I’m not bragging…it is a talent I was blessed with. Unfortunately, it’s a talent that does not pay well. I will take your online course. I wanted to ask you about personal coaching, the cost, etc. I am also a certified professional coach and know the benefits of coaching. Like you, I found I put more effort into my clients than they did. I decided when I worked harder than my paying clients, I should do something else. I was drained.
My nursing career and coaching led me to my current position that I love. I would like to earn money with an online business and still keep my current job. I want to do what I love and make a good living. I can’t do that without adding something in my life.
