Internet Marketing and Eating Compared

by Jeanette

In this video I share ways in which Internet Marketing is a lot like eating. Why would I do something like this video?

It was actually part of a challenge for a video course I was taking at the time. We had to do a full-face video that was related to our topic. It was definitely out of my comfort zone and took a lot of self-talk to do it.

But as with anything that is a challenge – it was worth it. It built my confidence muscle. It definitely helped me stand out from the crowd. And it was actually kinda fun!

Why am I sharing this with you now? Because a new version of this video course is starting this week. I’m going to be taking it and I’d LOVE to have you join me. So if video is something you’ve always wanted to do – or if you feel like you’re going to “have to” do it to keep up online, make it fun. And join us this week as we start the video course!

Now enjoy the show…

    Awesome video, Jeanette! Well done!

Creating videos is also something that’s outside of my comfort zone, but actually I’m working on one now and enjoying it.

It’s healthy to challenge yourself. That’s how you grow.

Oh, and I love the idea of comparing two things that people don’t normally think are related, like you do here with Internet marketing and eating.

Thanks, Britt. Quick videos and face videos are not my comfort zone. I much prefer Powerpoint – my second language. That’s why I have to force myself into situations (and classes!) that make me step up.

Good luck on your video project – be sure to post a follow-up here when you’re ready for your premiere!

Great video, although your kitchen functions must differently than mine. Nothing predictable has ever come out of it!

I love the comparison to Internet Marketing. The video really creates a word picture that is remarkable and will be remembered.

As always, perfectly done Jeanette! Thank you.

I cooked for the first time this year tonight – and I can assure you, my kitchen does NOT function predictably! Even though video is not my strong point – it beats my cooking. 🙂

    Good video, Jeanette,

As with any good “movie”, I was trying to figure out how you were going to pull it all together, and was quite pleased with the outcome. You need to do more of these. You have a very pleasant presence on screen and the more you do, the more comfortable you’ll be doing them.

Thanks, Geoff. That’s a great compliment coming from you, the author!

At least for the next month I’ll be doing more of them. So maybe I’ll morph into a video person after all. Thanks for the encouragement!

Your video is very encouraging in many ways. It was presented in a relaxed atmosphere, very entertaining and informing. It was one of those”wish I’d thought of that,”times. I too, have been stretching myself out of my comfort zone making videos without having the courage to publish.
You have given me inspiration to tap into my very strong creative side.

Oh good, Joci! I hope you’ll step up and be brave with me in publishing your videos. Many people find videos a creative outlet, but I’m still searching for that part of it. I had to work pretty hard to have this one come off “effortlessly.”

Lee – you can actually USE those items for their intended purpose! I’m still using them as video props. So I’ll continue to bow to YOUR expertise.

    Excellent video Jeanette,

Sooo!!! true that if your learn the correct system or “recipe” you can create successful websites just as easily as Grandma’s apple pie. The best place to lean to “cook up” a profit generating online business is in the “Online Success Incubator”.

Good analogy. I wish what came out of my kitchen could be declared predictable. Sometimes we just wonder if it will turn out at all – then sometimes it is even greater than expected!

I am hoping for even greater things from you as you go for the next 15 years!

Couldn’t have said it better myself – sometimes what we initially considered a “mistake” or a “disaster” turns out to be our best ever! We’ll continue to find out over the next 15 years what works – and what doesn’t.

Thanks for being here to share in the adventure!
