Build A List Overnight

by Jeanette

You already recognize the importance of building a list. After all, it’s the lifeblood of your business.  So how do you give your list building efforts a boost – literally overnight?

While there are several methods you can use, one of the fastest and easiest ways is by participating in a giveaway event.

A giveaway event is joint venture marketing on steroids. You and hundreds of other marketers all mail to their lists about the event. When participants come to the site they can choose from any of the hundreds of free gifts available.

As a participant you benefit from

  • access to multiple offers that you can pick and choose from.
  • new marketers and experts you might never have met
  • some incredible values – some of the gifts being offered are sold elsewhere for up to $100

To sign up as a participant, click here. (Note that until the giveaway launches on January 1, you’ll see the contributor page only. You can sign up there and just become a member.) For tips on how to maximize a giveaway event, read this article I wrote about another giveaway event.

As a contributor you have the advantage of

  • possibly adding hundreds of new subscribers to your list.
  • gaining visibility among fellow marketers.
  • potentially earning affiliate revenue or the paid special offers in the site.

To sign up as a contributor, click here.

I also prepared two videos to help you maximize your time and money investment as a contributor.

    Hi Jeanette!

Yes indeed. Some of these giveaway events are excellent list builders. I would have signed up as a contributor under you had I known a little earlier. However, I’ve already signed up.

Good idea on the video. Lot’s of folks get it wrong when signing up as a contributor. Just a wee little bit more effort makes ALL the difference.

Have a Happy New Year Jeannette!!

Always great to hear from you, Jason. Yes, I’m not always good at being the first to get the word out there so I totally understand.

And that’s one tip I think it would help to pass on – JUMP ON those promotions that you think will work for you. The First One to market definitely has an advantage. Then don’t stop. Even though you were first, people forget quickly as they start to hear from others – so keep mentioning it to them.

Have a Happy & Prosperous New Year!

I haven’t done this very often in 2009, so I will take the opportunity and do it now. Thanks for providing all of the information we need to be a successful contributor to have the best possible results.

Good for you! You’re so good at trying new traffic generation tactics – I’m sure you’ll put your unique spin on this one as well. I’ve also sent over a few points within the giveaway to give you a small headstart. Enjoy the process!

Thanks for the information on using give-away events effectively. We’ll be trying these ideas in 2010.

And thanks, as always, for your ongoing information and support for online marketers.

Thanks for your comments, Deb. When deciding which events to participate in, look for familiar faces. The quality events will generally attract more familiar names. Look also for “niche giveaways” – they do them in law of attraction and self development niches.

Looking forward to seeing you in Vegas at the Online Revenue Workshop!

Great info. The videos were very helpful. I jumped on board. This is the first time I’ve participated in this type of giveaway so I’m excited to learn the ropes so-to-speak! Happy New Year!

Thanks, Tom! I’m so glad you decided to give it a try. One of the features built into this giveaway event is the ability to “gift” other people with points – so I’ve added a few points to your account to give you a little boost.
